Installing the root certificate in Netscape 4

Once you have the certificate downloaded it will most likely start the Netscape Certificate Manager.

  1. If you don't see the dialog box below, then double click on the certificate you just downloaded.

  2. Click on the Next button.

  3. Click on the Next button.

  4. Click on the Next button.

  5. In order to have the certificate saved you need to select at least one of the accept check boxes. We checked all of them and it worked.

  6. Click on the Next button.

  7. You can select the Warn me button if desired.
  8. Click on the Next button.

  9. Enter a name for the Certificate Authority. We recommend LAFN CA.
  10. Click on the Finish button.

The LAFN root certificate should now be installed and usable in Netscape.
